A day where everyone at Norwood thought about all the brave heroes in the military forces, past and present
Date: 25th Apr 2017 @ 1:40pm
The whole school came together once again for our special Remembrance Day assembly led by Reverend Knight. 423 children and 40 staff filled the hall to collectively honour those who had died in the war with two minutes silence. The attitude of the children was naturally exemplary in keeping with the seriousness of the occasion. In the afternoon, the whole school took part to create a human 'poppy on the playground' to commemorate the centenary of the beginning of World War 1. It was tricky, the logistics were difficult, we had to move so the photo was in focus but thanks to Mrs. Goulden, the shape stayed and it was a success.
