Does God exist?
Year 3 chose to answer this question and did so with great enthusiasm.  It was a tricky question, as it isn't easy to answer!

Year 3 said that;

  • The Ancient Egyptians believed there were over 2000 gods
  • Iron Age Celts believed in many Gods and Goddesses
  • Sikhs believe there is one God
  • Jews believe there is a single God who not only created the universe, but that every Jew can also create an individual and personal relationship with them
  • Hindus believe in a universal God called Brahman.  Brahman takes on many forms and Hindus believe there is a a part of Brahman in everyone
  • Christians believe in God and that they should follow the teachings of Christ

Throughout the world, people believe in several different Gods. So, no one can really say there is a God, or there isn't a God.  It all comes down to people being unique and having their own opinion.  Some people believe God exists, some people believe God doesn't exist and some are not sure.  It is great to have an opinion!  Whatever the opinion is, it is personal and can never be criticised, or said to be incorrect.
