WW1 Week - Norwood will remember them...

To mark 100 years since the end of WW1, Norwood have come together to commemorate the bravery and sacrifice made by those who fought for our country. Throughout the week, we took part in a variety of activities, such as writing Haiku Poems, making a remembrance wreath and even learning some wartime songs. On the 8th November, we were lucky enough to have a replica Sopwith Camel Plane on our playground. The children were able to learn about the plane and its use in The Great War, along with having a sit in it. Our day finished with a talk from a WW1 soldier who informed us of the what life was really like for a soldier on the front line. A fabulous week was had by all in school, and great opportunity to reflect upon the sacrifices made by those in WW1.
