School Opening and Closing Hours 

Arrival in the morning

  • The school gates will open at 8.25am and the playground will be supervised by staff from 8.25am.
  • The main gates are the access for Reception, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 children. The winding path gates are generally for Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3.
  • All door to the classrooms open at 8.30am and all child can go straight to class.
  • Year R, Year 1 and Year 2 start time is 8.30am
  • Year 3, Year 4 and Tear 5 start time is 8.40am
  • Year 6 start time is 8.45am
  • All school gates will close at 8.50am and entry to school will then only be via the office.

Children are identified as late if they are not in class 10 minutes after their official start time.

Registers are taken each morning and afternoon and close promptly 10 minutes after a year groups start time and then 5 minutes after a year groups start time in the afternoon.

Pupils arriving after these times will be marked as 'late'. Any children arriving after these times should report to the school office. The register will be amended with an acceptable explanation regarding the late arrival.

Closing at the end of the day

  • The school gates will open at 2.30pm for Reception parents.
  • The finishing time for Reception children is 2.30pm.
  • The finishing time for Year 1 and Year 2 children is 2.45pm.
  • Year 3 and Year 4 finish at 3.00pm.
  • Year 5 finish at 3.05pm.
  • Year 6 finish at 3.15pm.

Children in Reception and KS1 are collected from their respective areas in front of their classrooms.

Children in Year 3 are collected from near the MUGA while Year 4 are collected from their area in front of their entrance doors.

Children in Year 5 make their way to the bike sheds area on the main playground while Year 6 make their way to the main gates.

Children who are collected late repeatedly will be reminded by letter of the collection times and if  they continue to be collected late then they will escorted to the After School Club and parents may have to pay for the time used.
