Uniform can be purchased from any school uniform stockist. Sweatshirts embroidered with the school logo can be purchased either online from
Tesco or from Rawcliffes in London Street, Southport. The latter also stocking fleece jackets and waterproof coats embroidered with the school logo. In addition, the school office does hold a small stock of sweatshirts for you to purchase if preferred. Bookbags are also available from the school office and we do recommend that each child has one for their reading books and letters.
Girls: Navy sweatshirt with school logo or navy cardigan, plain white polo shirt and grey skirt or trousers. White socks or grey tights. Black, sensible footwear should be worn at all times. Dark coloured coat or school fleece.
Boys: Navy sweatshirt with school logo or navy v neck sweater, plain white polo shirt and grey long or short trousers. Black, sensible footwear should be worn at all times. Dark coloured coat or school fleece.
PE Kit: White T-shirt and navy blue shorts, black slip-on pumps. These should be kept in school in a named PE/Pump bag. Also in the bag, it would be helpful to keep a spare pair of socks and underwear, should it be required in case of ‘accidents’. Trainers are allowed for P.E. lessons on the playground and field.
Bare feet or the use of trainers is not allowed for lessons in the hall.
When buying uniform and shoes, please bear in mind that your child will need to be able to dress and undress unaided so that they can change in and out of their PE kits.
Please ensure that your child’s name is CLEARLY MARKED on all his/her belongings.
Due to health and safety reasons, please note:
• Trainers and high heeled shoes are not school uniform.
• Jewellery (including necklaces, bracelets and rings) should not be worn in school, with the exception of watches and stud earrings.
• Stud earrings must be removed during PE, Games and Swimming lessons or if this is not possible, the children should cover these with plasters provided by home.
• Nail varnish and makeup are not permitted.
Mobile phones are not allowed under any circumstances.
Children are encouraged to wear their hair in a suitable manner for school. Extremes of fashion, both in terms of clothing and personal appearance are not allowed in school. By drawing attention to themselves in this way children can open themselves to potential bullying and ridicule and distract other pupils from their work. In common with all other schools in the country, the Head Teacher reserves the right to make the final decision regarding matters of this nature. All hair longer than shoulder length (regardless of gender) should be tied back.
