Roman soldier visits Norwood
On the 26th September 2018 Norwood was invaded by Hadrian, a Roman soldier. The children in Year 4 learnt that the Romans stole many great ideas from other nations and simply made better. They also learnt that the Romans created many of the road systems in Great Britain as well as many of our walls.
In the afternoon, the children learnt to fight like Roman soldiers, ground flour and learnt about many different Roman artefacts. It was a brilliant way to start our Roman topic.
