WW1 Soldier visit

On Thursday 8th November Reception had a very special visit from a WW1 soldier. We found out what it was like to be a soldier in WW1. We listened to a story about three brothers that went away to fight. One brother died, one was injured and the other returned home safely. We thought it was very sad that so many soldiers died in the war.The soldier also showed us lots of toys that the children would have played with during the war and even let us try on some hats that soldiers would have worn. We really enjoyed meeting the soldier and learned lots of new facts about WW1.
