P.E Lessons

P.E lessons in Year 4 will be every Wednesday and Friday.  Wednesdays will be Games lessons outdoors and Fridays will be Dance or Gymnastics in the hall.

Children should come into school in full Norwood PE kit on these days which is a white t-shirt with black or navy blue tracksuits/ leggings and jumper. Norwood jumpers and cardigans can be worn as part of the Norwood P.E kit.  

From February half term 2023, the children will take part in Swimming lessons each Friday at Dunes. 

Homework

This will go home on a Thursday and must be handed in on a Tuesday. Please see the homework expectations document which outlines our weekly homework. 

Your child will have a spelling test on Thursday on the words that they have been focusing on in lessons.

Spelling tests for the National Curriculum words for homework, will take place every half term.

Other opportunities

Year 4 children have the opportunity to apply to be a Reading Ambassador, a member of the Eco Team, as well as a 'ROAR Rocket.' 

In the Autumn and Spring terms the children have opportunity to represent Norwood at the Moels Cop Dance Festival. 

We are also lucky enough, throughout Year 4, to have music lessons by specialist music teachers.
