OFSTED

What is Ofsted?

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. It inspects schools in England to help parents and carers understand the quality of education and care children receive. Inspectors consider what a school does well, where it needs to improve and how effectively it keeps children safe.

Ofsted’s report cards give a separate grade for different aspects of school life, rather than one overall judgement. This gives families a fuller picture of a school’s strengths and priorities for improvement.
